Ancient Chinese coin

Ø82mm replica of an ancient Chinese brass coin with a value of 1 Cash. Originally Ø25mm, it was a legal tender from the Qing Dynasty around the 18th century. The inscriptions can be read: Qianlong Tongbao [乾隆通宝] and on the reverse in Manchu: Boo Ciowan [ᠪᠣᠣ ᠴᡳᠣᠸᠠᠨ].

Made using a set of 112 photos captured with a Panasonic DMC-TZ10 camera in .JPG format.
The photogrammetric survey was carried out with 3DF Zephyr in two parts, one for each face, and later aligned and fused in Blender, resulting in a 3D model of 387K tris. Performed a highly optimized manual retopology in Blender thus obtaining a LP model of just of 3K Quads.

Diffuse, Normal and Ambient Occlusion maps were baked in Blender and tweaked in Photoshop, in addition to creating the Roughness and Metallness maps there too.
Compositing and rendering done in Blender with Cycles engine.
